AxisPhilly and NBC 10 present: “What’s Next? A Forum on Bok High’s Future.” The event will bring together neighbors, leaders and experts to discuss the closing of Bok Technical High School and strategies for the future use of the building.
The school is slated to be closed at the end of the 2013 school year, along with 22 additional school buildings across Philadelphia. Forum participants will engage a panel of community leaders and experts in a discussion that will be moderated by Solomon Jones of AxisPhilly and filmed by NBC 10.
The forum will be at 6 p.m. on June 20 at New Hope Temple Baptist Church, 711 S. 12th St. Register to attend at http://bok.eventbrite.com/
Panelists include Councilman Mark Squilla, Anton Moore, community activist, and Larry Eichel, Pew Charitable Trusts. More neighborhood leaders and experts will be announced shortly.
The forum is part of SchoolhouseWatch, an online community delivering comprehensive information and providing a place for neighbors to have a voice in determining the future of each closing school building. Partner organizations include PlanPhilly and the Public School Notebook.
