The city’s new process for appealing your assessment includes a first review, which means someone at the city’s office of property assessment will reconsider your property’s value if you send supporting information – such as photos, comparison properties, or abatement – as to why their number is incorrect by march 31.

If you don’t agree with their response, you can appeal to the Board of Revision of Taxes by October 7th. If you still don’t like the answer you get, you can always take your case to the Court of Common Pleas.
